We, however, feel this could potentially be unfair to the client. There isn't a web designer or company out there that can truthfully say they are 100% skilled in ALL areas, i.e. Java script, CGI, Perl, designing, graphics, animation and the like. Company A may be able to create a form for you in 1 hour. Company B may not have done quite as many forms, so it takes them 2 hours. Who pays? YOU. This is why we charge by the page or by the project. Any number of things, such as distractions, can distort production time. You shouldn't have to pay for anything but a finished site. News Pages, Events Diaries, etc
are an area of your web site that can be fully controlled by the clients.
ASP Pages are now the norm in web design allowing clients to add information
to the web site without ANY knowledge of web design. Secure area login
pages are controlled by the client. Any website incorporating ASP pages
comes complete with its own manual and email technical support. On site
training can also be arranged if necessary. |
